Corenia Kollasch Walz specializes in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and estate tax returns.  She guides families through the complexities of creating effective estate plans, incorporating strategies to minimize estate taxes and facilitate generation-skipping gifts.  She prioritizes listening to her clients to fully understand their goals.  Clients appreciate her ability to make the estate planning process clear and the documents understandable. She also provides supports to families during the challenging period after a loved one’s passing, helping them navigate estate administration.
 
Corenia grew up in Northwest Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) from Briar Cliff College, Sioux City, Iowa, magna cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1991 as a Sterling Honor Graduate. She later obtained her Masters of Law in Taxation (L.L.M) from the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. 
 
Community service is important to Corenia.  She currently serves on the Season’s Hospice Board of Trustees, the Olmsted Medical Center Board of Trustees, and the OMC Regional Foundation.  She is also a member of the Greater Rochester Rotary Club and participates in Wills for Heroes,  a program where attorneys prepare wills, health care directives, and powers of attorney, free of charge, for military members, fire fighters, police officers and first responders, and their families. 
 
Outside of the office Corenia enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her husband and two children.
